Is opera a chimera?
Franz Hummel has notched up almost 20 operas, several of which are based on libretti by Sandra Hummel. Their latest joint work, “Fouché”, will have its premiere in Linz09. How do the two find their themes? How does literary material morph into a libretto? Where do the ideas for the musical realization come from?
