Christian Friesl

Christian Friesl ist seit 2001 Bereichsleiter für Gesellschaftspolitik in der Vereinigung der Österreichischen Industrie (Industriellenvereinigung), wo er unter anderem für die die Schwerpunkte Migration&Integration, Corporate Social Responsibility, Frauen-Beruf-Familie verantwortlich ist.

Neben seiner Tätigkeit in der IV ist Friesl Universitätsprofessor am Institut für Praktische Theologie der Universität Wien. Unter seiner Projektleitung entstanden u.a. die  „Österreichische Jugend-Wertestudie“ (1991, 2000, 2006) sowie die „Europäische Wertestudie“ (1990, 1999, 2008). Seine wissenschaftliche Ausbildung begann Friesl mit einem Studium der Theologie an der Universität Wien (Habilitation 2001 im Fach Pastoraltheologie), 2005-2007 absolvierte er einen MBA for Executives an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien.

Ehrenamtlich war und ist Friesl in verschiedenen Funktionen tätig, so als Präsident der Katholischen Aktion Österreich (1997-2003), als Mitglied des Kuratoriums des FK Austria Wien, als Mitglied des Kuratoriums und des Rats des „Europäischen Forums Alpbach“ oder als Vorstandsmitglied der „Caritas Socialis Privatstiftung“.
