Alfredo Häberli

Alfredo Häberli wurde 1964 in Buenos Aires geboren. 1991 schloss er sein Industrial Design Studium an der Hochschule für Gestaltung Zürich ab und eröffnete sein eigenes Studio Alfredo Häberli Design Development. Heute ist er ein international etablierter Designer mit Sitz in Zürich, von wo aus er für führende Unternehmen der Design-Industrie wie Alias, Camper, Iittala, Kvadrat, Luceplan, Moroso, Ruckstuhl, Schiffini und Volvo arbeitet. Geprägt durch seine frühe Kindheit in Argentinien, vermag er in seinen Entwürfen Tradition und Innovation sowie Witz und Neugierde zu vereinen. Das  Ergebnis sind Produkte mit starker Emotionalität und viel Funktion, die 2008 in seiner Retrospektive „SurroundThings“ im Museum für Gestaltung Zürich ausgestellt wurden und für die er anlässlich der Internationalen Möbelmesse in Köln den Titel „Designer des Jahres 2009“ erhielt.
