Mümtaz Karakurt

Mümtaz Karakurt (geboren 1962) kam nach seiner Matura in der Türkei im Jahr 1979 nach Österreich und ist seit 1999 österreichischer Staatsbürger. Karakurt studierte Volkswirtschaftslehre, Sozialwirtschaft und Soziologie in Linz und absolvierte zahlreiche Aus- und Weiterbildungslehrgänge im Bereich Bildungs- und Sozialberatung, insbesondere in der Psychodramaturgischen Linguistik. Bis 2003 war Karakurt in der Bildungsberatung und Erwachsenenbildung für das Bfi Oberösterreich, das Schul- und Erziehungszentrum SCHEZ Linz und als Lehrbeauftragter an der Pädagogischen Akademie des Bundes in Oberösterreich tätig. An der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz schloss er im Jahr 2008 das Studium des Sozialmanagements ab und absolvierte von 2008 bis 2009 die Ausbildungszweige Erwachsenenbildung und Bildungsmanagement an der Weiterbildungsakademie Österreich in Wien. Bereits seit 1989 engagiert sich Karakurt im migrare – Zentrum für MigrantInnen Oberösterreich und hält Vorträge und Seminare zum Themenbereich Migration und Interkulturalität. Seit 2003 hat er die Position des Geschäftsführers des migrare - Zentrums für MigrantInnen inne.
