Dieter Klumpp

Dieter Klumpp ist aktuell Direktor der Alcatel-Lucent Stiftung für Kommunikationsforschung mit Sitz in Stuttgart. Klumpp studierte in Stuttgart, Santiago/Chile und Berlin Politikwissenschaft, Geschichte und Kommunikationswissenschaft. Er bekleidet zahlreiche Ehrenämter, darunter den Posten des Sprechers für den Fachbereich Informationsgesellschaft und Fokus-Projekte der Informationstechnischen Gesellschaft ITG im VDE Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik. Er ist außerdem Mitglied im Fachausschuss Kommunikation/Information der UNESCO Deutschland. Seine weiteren Funktionen: Vorstandsmitglied im Kompetenzzentrum „Technik – Diversity – Chancengleichheit“; Beirat des Instituts für Europäisches Medienrecht e.V.; Beirat des Fraunhofer-Zentrums E-Government (FOKUS), AG „Electronic Government“ bei BITKOM und Initiative D21; Beirat der Stiftung Digitale Chancen; Mitglied des Steering Committee des FES-Managerkreises; Mitglied des GI-Präsidialarbeitskreises Ethik; Fachbeirat der Dienstleistungsgesellschaft für Informatik mbH; Beirat des Forschungszentrums für Informationstechnik-Gestaltung ITeG; Mitglied der VDI-Bereichsvertretung „Gesellschaft und Technik“; Adviser für EIF und CEPIS; wissenschaftlicher Beirat des Internationalen Zentrums für Kultur- und Technikforschung IZKT an der Universität Stuttgart; Geschäftsführer des E-Government-Kollegs in Stuttgart; Vorstand des Stiftung-Verbundkollegs Informationsgesellschaft in Berlin.
