Treasa Galvin

Dr. Treasa Galvin has a background in Social Anthropology and Sociology. Her main area of interest is migration. More specifically her research interests lie in migration patterns within Southern Africa and from Southern Africa to Europe. Dr. Galvin has additional research interests in kinship and family structures, gender, and broader patterns of socio-cultural change and development within Southern African societies. She is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Botswana and a research associate at Trinity College, Dublin, (Ireland). She has also lectured at the University of Zimbabwe.
