Kurt Schlacher
Kurt Schlacher (geboren 1955) begann nach seinem Studium der Elektrotechnik an der Technischen Universität Graz eine wissenschaftliche Laufbahn auf dem Gebiet der Regelungstechnik. 1984 wurde er zum Doktor der technischen Wissenschaften ernannt. Seit 1990 lehrt Schlacher als Universitätsdozent; 1992 erhielt er eine Professur für Automatisierungstechnik an der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz. Seit 2004 ist er dort Leiter des Instituts für Regelungstechnik und Prozessautomatisierung. Schlacher war und ist Associate Editor verschiedener Fachmagazine (IEEE Transaction on Control Systems Technology, AUTOMATICA, CEP). Im Jahr 2005 wurde er in den Beirat der Zeitschrift ACTA MECHANICA berufen und ist seit 2005 zudem Sekretär von IFAC International Federation of Automatic Control.
