Kepler Salon

Kepler Salon will be the venue for meetings and an ongoing exchange of information.
Universities, institutions of higher learning and hospitals will be engaging in the presentation of knowledge and in making research results accessible and intelligible to the general public in a series of dialogues with the researchers themselves.

The Salon der schlauen Füchse [Salon for quick wits] has been conceived by KinderUniSteyr for children between 7 and 12. The emphasis will not be on hard work and ambition but on an attitude characterized by playful curiosity and sheer delight in experimentation and in scientific thinking.

Kepler Salon 2010

Good News! The Kepler Salon will continue to receive visitors even after the end of the Capital of Culture year.

The Kepler Salon will operate under the aegis of the forte FortBildungszentrum Elisabethinen Linz GmbH. Financial support is being provided by the Province of Upper Austria, the City of Linz and private sponsors. Programme content will be the responsibility of Christine Haiden, editor-in-chief of “Welt der Frau.” and Iris Mayr, program coordinator.

Beginning March 1, 2010, Rathausgasse 5 will once again be the place to go every Monday evening at 7:30 for fascinating takes on hot issues across the scientific and R&D spectrum. The Wednesday get-togethers will be set aside for topics to be chosen by university scholars or the sponsors’ themselves.
