Sabine Coelsch-Foisner

Sabine Coelsch-Foisner has been Professor of English Literature and Cultural Theory at Salzburg University since 2005. She heads the Department of English Studies and the IRCM, an interdisciplinary research centre for metamorphic change in the arts. She teaches and engages in research at several European universities and has been a speaker at numerous international conferences. Coelsch-Foisner’s publications in the areas of literary history, aesthetics and the history of ideas, fantastic literature, high culture and popular culture include “Poetic Consciousness” (2002), “Elizabethan Literature and Transformation” (1999), “Private and Public Voices in Victorian Poetry” (2000), “Theatre Practice and Drama Translation” (2004), “Metamorphosen” (2005), “Fiction and Autobiography” (2006), “Fantastic Body Transformations” (2006).
