Silvia Glogner

Born in Berlin. She began to train as an actress at the Fritz-Kirchhof-Schule in 1956; she also trained as a ballet dancer. First stage appearance in 1958 at the Staatstheater Braunschweig at the age of 16. This was followed by engagements in Basel and at different theatres in Germany. In 1976 Alfred Stögmüller offered her a contract for the Landestheater Linz. She remained here for eleven years and came back after an engagement in St. Gallen lasting two and a half years. Frau Glogner has played hundreds of parts in her career, including some of the most famous ones, such as Dürrenmatt’s Frau Zachanassian. In the season 2007/2008 Frau Glogner celebrated her 50th stage anniversary.
